Refworks (Bibliographic Management tool)

RefWorks is an online tool that allows you to create your own personal account and store an unlimited number of citations you retrieve when doing your research. Later, when you are writing your paper, you can use RefWorks to insert citations where you need them. RefWorks can then create and automatically format your bibliography in the bibliographic style you need.

Cabell’s Directory of Publishing Opportunities

Research writer's guidelines for submitting articles to major journals in Accounting, Economics & Finance, Management, Marketing, Psychology, and Curriculum & Methods. Includes contact information, manuscript topics, submission guidelines, review process, acceptance rate, & circulation information.

COS Funding Opportunities

A compiled database of over 25,000 records of available opportunities for grants, fellowships, prizes and other type of funding. It is an extensive database with opportunities for recipients anywhere in the world, working in any discipline. Opportunity sponsors come from the public and private sector, including local, state and national governments, foundations and societies, and corporations.

COS Scholar Universe

Provides authoritative information about more than 1 million scholars and organizations around the world, together with verified affiliation and publication information. The database comprises international faculty at 4-year universities and their departments

Foundation Directory

U.S. grantmakers and their grants. Includes detailed funder profiles for foundations, corporate giving programs, and donors; trustee, officer, and donor names; program details and application guidelines; charts depicting grant distributions by subject, geographic, and demographic focus; recently awarded grants; searching across over 250,000 Form 990 entries. Also includes foundation news, requests for proposals, publications, and job postings.

Over 10,000 funding opportunities provided by more than 4,000 sponsoring organizations. Funding opportunities range from pure research grants to arts programs, biomedical & health care research, community services programs, children & youth programs, and K-12 education funding.

ISI Web of Knowledge Citation Indexes

Current and retrospective multidisciplinary high impact research journals from around the world. Approximately 8,700 journals included. Some linked full text articles.
Coverage: Arts & Humanities Citation Index (1975-present), Science Citation Index Expanded (1900-present), and Social Sciences Citation Index (1956-present).

Journal Citation Reports

Annual analysis of scholarly journals in sciences, social sciences & humanities. Objectively determines the relative importance of journals within their subject categories. Information for each title includes the "impact factor" (measurement of the frequency with which the average article has been cited in a particular year) and the "immediacy index" (how quickly the average article in a journal is cited).

Papers Invited

List of organizations looking for papers or posters from scientists, professors, post-docs and students to present at professional conferences. Its purpose is to assist researchers find publishing opportunities for their research papers.

Ulrichs Periodicals Directory

Directory of U.S. and international periodicals. No articles, just information about journals. Useful for purchasing periodicals, where periodicals are indexed, & periodical type (such as scholarly, newsletter, newspaper, etc.)
